Trust & safety
A direct marketplace only works if everyone can trust it. Here's how we keep DirectList high-signal and your information protected.
Verification levels
Each step adds a badge others can see — without ever exposing your documents.
Email verified
Confirmed by signing in through a one-time email link. Every account starts here.
Phone verified
A one-time code confirms a reachable mobile number, so counterparties can coordinate viewings and completion.
Proof of funds
A bank statement or mortgage in principle shows sellers you can actually proceed. Fully verified members carry all three signals.
How we protect you
Your contact details stay hidden
Names, phone numbers and email addresses are never published on listings or profiles. They're revealed to a counterparty only after a qualifying interaction — an accepted offer, or an assigned legal vendor.
Every access is logged
When a buyer, seller, vendor or admin gains access to your personal details, we write an immutable audit record of who saw what and when.
Member-gated offers
Only paying, verified members can make offers or message sellers. That keeps spam and time-wasters out of the marketplace.
Minimum-offer threshold
Sellers can set a minimum acceptable offer. Anything below it is suppressed automatically and never reaches the seller — no lowball pressure, no noise.
