1. About DirectList
DirectList is an online marketplace that lets property owners list their homes directly and lets buyers discover them, make offers and communicate. DirectList is not an estate agent and does not act for either party in a transaction.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be 18 or over and provide accurate information. You're responsible for activity under your account. We may require email, phone and proof-of-funds verification before you can perform certain actions.
3. Listings (sellers)
Listing is free. You confirm you have the right to sell the property and that all information — including photos, floor plans, price and condition — is accurate and not misleading. You may set a minimum-offer threshold; offers below it will be suppressed and not shown to you. You remain free to accept, counter or decline any offer.
4. Offers and membership (buyers)
Making offers and messaging sellers requires a paid membership. An offer made through DirectList is an expression of interest and is subject to contract; it does not create a binding obligation to buy or sell until contracts are exchanged through your legal vendor. Membership fees are described at pricing and membership.
5. The legal process
When an offer is accepted we may refer the transaction to a vetted solicitor / conveyancer from our panel. You're free to instruct your own; if you use our panel we may receive a referral fee. DirectList does not provide legal services or legal advice.
6. Acceptable use
Don't post unlawful, fraudulent or misleading content, harvest other users' data, or attempt to circumvent membership gating, verification or the minimum-offer threshold. We may suspend or remove accounts and listings that breach these terms.
7. Liability
DirectList provides the platform "as is" and is not a party to any sale. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for the conduct of buyers, sellers or vendors, or for the outcome of any transaction.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a revised date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use means you accept the changes.
