How we make money

Three transparent revenue streams

No sale commission, ever. Here's exactly how DirectList is funded — so our incentives stay aligned with getting you moved.

1. Buyer membership
Paid by buyers
A simple subscription unlocks making offers, messaging sellers and requesting viewings. It keeps the marketplace serious and your contact details private.
2. Independent verification
Fixed fee, paid by the seller
Listings are shown at face value (seller-declared). When an offer is accepted, an independent verifier confirms the stated details for a one-off fixed fee of £499 — paid by the seller, because the listing was taken at their word.
3. Legal-vendor referral
Margin per completed sale
Accept an offer and we route the matter to a vetted solicitor / conveyancer from our panel. We earn a referral and processing margin on each completed case — never a percentage of your sale price.
